The problem of this research is how the empowerment process of salt farmers through Geomembrane technology to improve the quality of salt farmers in Talise Village, Palu City. The theory used is Mardikanto Empowerment which consists of four aspects, namely human capacity development, business capacity development, environmental capacity development, and institutional capacity development. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach method. Data collection through observation, documentation, and interviews with the PRL of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Marine and Fisheries Service, the Head of Talise, the Secretary of the Talise Salt Farmers Group, and the Talise Salt Entrepreneurs. The results of this study indicate that empowerment of Talise salt farmers still requires a more participatory and sustainable approach. Although the government has made empowerment efforts by providing training, providing production aids and assistance in the use of geomembrane technology in production areas. However, the low capacity of Talise salt farmers has a very negative impact on increasing Talise salt production. In government science, this research can enrich the understanding of community empowerment. This research encourages the government to increase empowerment efforts through the development of human, business, environmental, and institutional capacity.
