The articles in this issue discuss various practices of development governance, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), collaborative governance, and public sector management, as well as development-related conflicts such as smelter projects and land compensation disputes.
In addition, this issue highlights the dynamics of local democracy through analyses of political participation and vote-buying practices in electoral processes. Overall, this issue aims to enrich scholarly discourse in the fields of government studies and public policy by providing empirical and contextual perspectives, while offering critical reflections for the formulation of more inclusive and equitable local development strategies.
