Introduction: The arrest of the head of Budi Mukti village on suspicion of village fund corruption reveals the weak transparency in the management of village funds. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to discuss the transparency of village fund management in Budi Mukti Village. The theory used is the transparency of village fund management from Kristianten (2006), with indicators of document availability and accessibility, clarity of information, openness of processes, and a regulatory framework that ensures transparency.
Methods: This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews with village government officials, community leaders, and documents related to village fund management.
Results: The research findings indicate that the management of village funds in Budi Mukti Village faces challenges in document accessibility, clarity of information, and community participation. Although transparency regulations are available, their implementation is less than optimal due to the limited understanding of village officials and the community. Improvement in communication and active community involvement is necessary to enhance the transparency and accountability of village fund management.
Conclusion: This research provides implications for improving communication, education, and community participation so that the transparency of village funds can be better realized.
