Partisipasi Politik Masyarakat Dalam Pemilihan Walikota Palu Di Kecamatan Tawaeli Pada Masa Pandemic Covid 19

Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the factors that influence the political participation of the people of Palu City in the regional head general election during the panmic covid 19 period in Tawaeli District. This research uses Miriam Budiarjo's theory of political participation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses analysis techniques with interactive patterns developed by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion or verification. The results of this study indicate that the level of political participation of the Tawaeli community in the 2020 regional head elections is very high, even though it was held during the Covid 19 pandemic. Factors that influence the high political participation of the community are the performance of election organizers, and localism/ similarity of residence of voters with candidates.
