Abstract

Tropical forests, often referred to as the "lungs of the Earth," play a critical role in maintaining global biodiversity and regulating the climate. However, these ecosystems are facing unprecedented threats due to climate change and human activities. The interaction between climate change and biodiversity loss in tropical forests is complex, with significant implications for ecosystems, human livelihoods, and the planet's overall health. This article reviews the impacts of climate change on tropical forests, particularly focusing on habitat loss, and examines how these changes affect biodiversity.
