Abstract

The Toro community teaches their children the customs that have been implemented by previous parents. The customs that parents in Ngata Toro teach their children are part of the awareness of the importance of customs for daily life. This research aims to explain the history of the formation of Tondo Lino Ngata Toro Nature School and to find out the learning process of Tondo Lino Nature School. The research method used in the research is descriptive qualitative research. Determination of informants in this study using purposive sampling technique, by determining the number of informants 5 people. Namely 2 students, 1 initiator and 2 adults. The data collection methods used are literature study, field research consisting of observation, preliminary and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that at Tondo Lino Ngata Toro Nature School, Kulawi District, Sigi Regency, parents play an important role in introducing culture to children. The habits applied by parents in Ngata Toro to their children are part of the awareness and importance of manners for daily life. The education that is applied at tondo Lino Ngata Toro Nature School is none other than to maintain local wisdom such as the relationship between humans and God, humans and humans, and humans and nature.
