Abstract
Introduction: Palu City still faces obstacles in fostering and supervising the implementation of government, especially in the performance of the apparatus and the quality of public services. This study aims to examine the implementation of Smart Governance by the Palu City Population and Civil Registry Office through the LAMAR AKU service innovation in order to realize a professional and responsive government.
Methods: The researcher used a qualitative research design based on descriptive research, with 7 informants.
Results: The results of this study indicate that the LAMAR AKU innovation has not run optimally due to various obstacles, such as the absence of prospective brides and grooms during registration, no changes to population data, and unrecorded marriages. This hinders the objectives of Smart Governance by the Palu City Population and Civil Registry Office.
Conclusion: This study contributes by highlighting aspects of Community Objectives in Smart Governance that have not been widely
discussed in previous studies. Focusing on social obstacles in the LAMAR AKU innovation service by the Palu City Population and Civil Registry Office provides a new perspective on the implementation of Smart Governance in the field of population administration services.
